Holden Australia believe they have struck the right balance between durability and refinement in the new Holden Colorado.
Released officially today, the Colorado gives Holden a brand new “ute” option other than the Commodore and tradies, farmers and families are sure to give it a close look.
The Colorado, which Holden says is a new design from the ground up, is a global vehicle which has been tweaked for Australia’s tough conditions.
A proud John Elsworth – Holden’s Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and After-sales has told Behind the Wheel that while the new ute is tough, drivers and passengers haven’t been forgotten about.
“The new Colorado blends the hard-working attributes loved by our customers with exceptional cabin refinement and SUV-like ride and handling.”
“Holden’s contribution to the global program has ensured Colorado is tuned with Australian driving preferences in mind, and we’ve worked hard to locally develop a range of durable, accessories as tough as the Colorado itself.”
There are three different engine/transmission combos to choose from in the new Colorado…
- 2.5 litre turbo diesel delivering 110kW and 350Nm (only available in manual).
- 2.8 litre turbo diesel delivering 132kW and 440Nm (when mated to the five speed manual gearbox).
- 2.8 litre turbo diesel delivering 132kW and 470Nm (when mated to the six speed auto transmission).
The new Colorado is now officially on sale at your local Holden Dealership and prices start from $26,990 for the two door cab/chassis DX.
