Seatbelt recall announced for D40 Nissan Navara.
A recall of the Nissan Navara has been launched after it was found the seatbelts in some models may have been incorrectly installed.
Affecting D40 models of the ute, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission say that during production the LHS and RHS front seatbelts may have been swapped.
The ACCC warn this may affect restraint performance, presenting a serious risk of injury to the occupants in the event of a collision.
A letter will be sent to affected owners and Navara owners can also contact their local Nissan dealer to arrange for inspection and, where necessary, rectification of the front seat belts.
