We’ve already reported that 2006-10 models of the Mitsubishi Pajero are being recalled as part of the mammoth Takata Airbag Recalls, now more Pajero’s have just been named as being affected.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is now also overseeing the recall of NT and NW series Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4s.

All of those affected vehicles were built between the 6th of January 2010 and 28th of December 2012.

The ACCC recall notice again confirms that the passenger front airbag inflator may release metallic fragments from the inflator container when the airbag deploys.

What are the hazards?

This may cause injury to the vehicle occupants.

When parts become available, Mitsubishi Motors Australia will contact all known owners by mail and advise them to present their vehicle to their preferred dealer to have the vehicle rectified.
