Honda gives us a glimpse of new 2017 Civic Hatch.
Honda will show a prototype version of the new-generation Honda Civic Hatch at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
In announcing that the prototype would debut, Honda also released the above sketch of the new model which looks a lot more like the new sedan version of the Civic, a model that is already available in several markets, than the out-going generation Civic hatch and sedan.
Honda tell us the new model is wider, lower and longer than the current model and this will translate to better driving dynamics.
Arriving in Europe next April and Australia after that, Honda Cars Australia boss, Stephen Collins, says the new Civic Hatch will really take the fight up to its rivals.
“This tenth-generation Civic Hatch is the sportiest remake of the Civic ever,”
“This is an exciting new chapter for a much loved Honda nameplate. We have a three-phase launch plan in Australia that will put Civic back on the shopping list of small car buyers.
“The all-new sedan will arrive mid this year and then Hatch will follow, and then Type R. We aren’t able to confirm exact timing for the Hatch or Type R as yet, but these variants will play an important role in the success of this model.”
We will continue to keep you updated on the development of the new 10th generation Honda Civic.
