Mercedes-Benz Australia has just confirmed the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will be priced from $89,990.
The engine range comprises 135kW/300Nm 2.0 litre petrol, 143kW/400Nm 2.0 litre diesel and 190kW/620Nm 3.0 litre six-cylinder diesel.
While another two petrol models will arrive in Australia later in the year; the E 300 and E 400 4MATIC.
Mercedes-Benz tell us all tenth-generation E-Class models will come standard with a generous list of features, including:
- Driver Assistance package PLUS
- Widescreen cockpit
- KEYLESS-GO with hands free access
- 360° camera
- Steering wheel with touch control buttons
- Electric front seats with memory function
- LED High Performance headlights
- Stardust effect LED taillights
65mm longer than the ninth-generation model, Mercedes-Benz say the addition length translates directly to a roomier cabin, while a great percentage of aluminium in the E-Class chassis and body panels has made the car more-nimble and efficient.
Head of research and development at Mercedes-Benz cars, Dr Thomas Weber, says Australian luxury car buyers will not be disappointed.
“The E-Class is the core of the Mercedes-Benz brand and in the past has repeatedly redefined the standards in the executive-class segment. Now it carries this tradition into the future with a wealth of top-class innovations.
“The new E-Class takes another major step towards autonomous driving. In addition, it enhances efficiency, safety and comfort, reduces the stress level when driving and intensifies the motoring pleasure.”
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is now available to order with customer deliveries expected to start next month.
