2017 Suzuki Baleno goes on sale

Suzuki offering competitive new hatch

The new 2017 Suzuki Baleno hatch has arrived at Australian dealerships ready to rival the likes of the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai i30 and Mazda3.

Suzuki is offering up more cabin space and legroom over the their smallest model, the Suzuki Swift, and a boot which the maker says is bigger than the one found in the Mazda3.

The Baleno comes standard with the same touch screen multimedia system as found in the Suzuki Vitara, complete with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay.

But their biggest selling point will be the price – only $17,990 driveaway for the auto Baleno GL.

Prices start from $15,990RRP for the manual version while there is also a GLX Turbo model with a 1.0 litre Boosterjet turbo engine under the bonnet plus 16” alloy wheels, HID headlamps and digital climate control for $21,990RRP.

Suzuki General Manager Andrew Moore says the new Suzuki Baleno offers amazing value.

“The Baleno should be considered by anyone looking at small hatches for its great styling, passenger and boot space and with the addition of turbo, loads of driving excitement.”
