4000 truck milestone for DAF in Australia

There’s been a big milestone in the truck world this week with PACCAR Australia delivering its 4,000th DAF vehicle to an Australian customer.

4000 truck milestone for DAF in AustraliaPACCAR has owned the DAF brand internationally for 20 years this year and took over over the importation of DAF trucks into Australia in 1998.

Robert Griffin, DAF General Manager, says the 4,000 truck Australian milestone means a lot to PACCAR and the DAF brand.

“We continue to gain market acceptance and it’s showing. Our numbers are increasing and our market share is growing, as we bring new products to market that meet and exceed the needs of our customers”

The historic 4,000th DAF truck (pictured) was delivered to owner/operator Steve Brown of S&J Brown via the Suttons Kenworth DAF Arncliffe outlet in Sydney.

Steve says it was nice to hear his new prime mover had some extra importance.

“It was a bit of a surprise, being the 4,000th truck, because I was also their first CF85 customer in 2002,”

“I tested out some of the competing vehicles, but in the end the CF85 got me over the line because being a previous DAF owner, I knew it was going to be very reliable and productive and Suttons came up with a good deal.”
