Another Iveco ACCO in the Mix

Boral sub-contractor opts for ninth Iveco ACCO agitator.

Another Iveco ACCO in the Mix - the new Iveco ACCO 8×4 is now on duty in Ross Books fleet.

It’s always a pretty good recommendation when a customer keeps coming back for more, that’s exactly what Iveco has achieved with Queensland-based Boral sub-contractor, Ross Books.

Books has just taken delivery of a new Iveco ACCO 8×4 agitator, a vehicle that will add to his existing fleet of eight ACCOs. The new truck being the latest of six that have been purchased new by him over just the past two years.

The new purchase boasting a 254kW/1500Nm SCR power plant and heavy duty Allison 6-speed automatic transmission. While Hendrickson airbag suspension helps the smooth out the bumps on the twin steer front axle truck and allows for up to 11 tonnes over the front axles.

Books, who has owned and operated ACCO agitators for almost 30 years, has told Behind the Wheel Truck News the Iveco ACCO can’t be beaten for toughness, reliability and driver comfort.

“The latest trucks are as tough and reliable as the ACCO have ever been and they ride beautifully; they have air suspension, air suspended driver’s seat, air conditioning, electric mirrors and windows and Bluetooth – they’ve got all the creature comforts of a modern car – I think they’re a great truck.”

While other reasons he keeps coming back include the quality of aftersales service he has received and the benefits of a uniform truck fleet.

“If a vehicle is getting serviced, the driver can jump in another truck and baring some slight differences in mixer controls, it’s a familiar environment for them.”

“I stand by Iveco because they stand by me.”
