BMW enthusiasts in Australia will have to be quick if they want to get their hands on the very special BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition.
The keenly-anticipated model was built to celebrate the brands triumph in the German touring car championship (DTM).
Globally, just 200 cars will be built, Australia will receive only 10.
The road-going race-car is powered by BMW’s acclaimed twin-turbocharged 3.0 litre straight-six engine with an output of 368kW and 600Nm!
Those figures represent a huge 51kW/50Nm increase on a standard M4 with the M4 Champions Edition gaining the extra go from a unique water injection system that helps boost the performance of the turbochargers.
With a feast of carbon-fibre, ceramic brakes, race seats and roll-cage, BMW Australia boss Marc Werner says the 10 cars are expected to sell quickly.
“Securing five per cent of the M4 DTM Champion Edition’s global allocation is an honour for BMW in this country,”
“It once again proves the popularity of M Division product ‘Down Under’.
“On the back of the sold-out M4 GTS, the M4 DTM Champion Edition offers similar racetrack-inspired performance with further exclusivity.”
The BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is priced from $295,000.
