The team at Daimler Trucks is celebrating a big truck supply deal that will see Ron Finemore Transport take delivery of 95 new Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner trucks.
The deal sees the trucks handed over across a 12-month period and includes 68 Mercedes-Benz Actros prime-movers and 27 Freightliner Coronados.
The new trucks join existing Mercedes-Benz Actros units already in operation and Ron Finemore says these trucks have proven themselves.
“At this stage, nearly one year in, the trucks have performed extremely well and Daimler has delivered a high level of support.”
Ron Finemore Transport is no stranger to the Freightliner product.
The business already runs a fleet of Coronados, primarily on B-double fuel tanker duties.
Daimler Truck and Bus Managing Director, Daniel Whitehead, welcomed the news that more Daimler Trucks would be joining the Finemore fleet.
“Ron Finemore Transport is one of the leading freight companies in Australia and places a strong focus on safety, fuel economy and reduced emissions, as well as the comfort of its drivers,”
“We are excited that Ron Finemore Transport identified the strengths of the Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz products and has chosen them to fulfill its varied freight requirements.”
The Mercedes-Benz models will be put to work on single trailer, B-double and refrigerated freight applications Group Fleet and Maintenance Officer, Laurie Brothers, says the Actros is a proven performer.
“The new Actros has great drivability and the drivers have welcomed the new fleet with open arms.
We still operate some previous generation Actros 2648 and 2655 units and those drivers are eagerly awaiting the next arrival of Actros 2651 and 2653 product later this year.”
