BMW X2 finally fully revealed

Long striptease is over for new BMW X2 SUV

BMW will be hoping the new addition to their SUV range, the BMW X2, will be just as successful as the X1 and X3 when it comes to market early in 2018.

We published teaser images of the BMW X2 back in August, now comes the full reveal with a confirmation that the first customer deliveries will start overseas in around March.

Expect to see the BMW X2 in Australia around the middle of 2018.

In officially unveiling the new offering, BMW headquarters in Munich said the new offering will prove attractive, exciting, and to be extrovert.

And they say it will appeal primarily to the young and young-at-heart.

As with the other BMW SUVs that carry an even number model designation the X2 will have swoopy coupe-like rear styling.

And there will be the usual M-division souped-up versions, including an ‘M Sport X’ variant available too.

2018 BMW X2 Initial Engine/Model Line-Up:

  • BMW X2 xDrive20i – 141kW petrol
  • BMW X2 xDrive20d – 140kW diesel
  • BMW X2 xDrive25d – 170kW diesel

While other engines, including a three-cylinder petrol, will come online a little later.

No Word yet on Aussie pricing for the new BMW X2, we will bring you those details and local specifications when confirmed by BMW Australia.
