Blacktown City Council trucks spread the word…

Waste collection trucks do a great service for the community, now Blacktown City Council in Sydney’s west has come up with another way for them to do good work.

The council decked-out six of its Dennis Eagle trucks with livery designed to raise awareness of community groups and charities for the Blacktown Festival last weekend.

The groups supported by the initiative included the Amy Gillett Foundation, the Black Dog Institute, Keep NSW Beautiful, Cancer Council NSW, Diabetes NSW & ACT and Redkite.

Penske Commercial Vehicles is the Australian distributor of Dennis Eagle trucks and sales chief, Mark Mello, says the council was proud to put its Dennis Eagle fleet on show.

“The council serves a huge resident base making truck attributes such as fuel efficiency, driver comfort and driver safety paramount.

“Both Penske Commercial Vehicles and our Sydney dealer have worked with the council over a few years now to provide the best value for money and low whole‐of‐life costs to the people of Blacktown, as well as supporting this council initiative promoting such important charities in the community.”
