Renault hot hatch breaks from rivals
There’s some fantastic hot hatches available in 2017, however there’s a new entrant coming soon that will have something none of them boast – four-wheel steering.
A big deal back in the 1990’s, four-wheel steering hasn’t really been a high priority for car manufacturers over the past decade or so.
But that could be about to change with steering ability via the back wheels seemingly the next ‘must have’.
Renault has just confirmed its new 2018 Megane Sport (or is that Mégane Renault Sport?) will feature four-wheel steering.
It looks as though the Renault 4CONTROL four-wheel steer technology will be an optional extra, we’ll keep you updated.
In announcing that the 2018 version of the Renault hot hatch would boast the tech, Renault say it offers drivers enhanced agility, cornering performance and steering precision.
Renault F1 driver, Nico Hülkenberg, has had a go of the new four-wheel steering offering, check out the video below.
We’ll bring you more details, including Australian availability, as those details come to hand.
