A recall of Mazda2 Hatchbacks has been initiated after it was found the vehicles could have a fault that poses a fire risk.
Affecting the DJ series of the Mazda2 hatch, all affected cars were sold in Australia between the 30th of January 2015 and the 16th of February 2016.

The recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The ACCC recall notice advising that on the affected vehicles, the welding between the fuel tank and rollover valve (ROV) may peel off, causing a fuel leak.
What are the hazards?
Fuel leakage would pose a fire risk, potentially creating a hazard for the vehicle occupants and other road users.
Mazda Australia will contact all affected customers by mail as soon as parts become available.
Customers will be advised to present their vehicle to their preferred Mazda Dealer for the replacement of the fuel tank (which includes the rollover valve) at no charge.
