Hino 300 Series Fuel Filter Recall

ACCC oversees Hino 300 Series truck recall.

Hino 300 Series Fuel Filter Recall - there are concerns the fuel filter element could crack on some Hino trucks.

A significant number of Hino 300 Series trucks are being recalled to fix a potential issue with the fuel filter element.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is overseeing the recall that was initiated after it was found that the fuel filter element installed on the engine may crack.

The ACCC recall notice advising that the fuel filter element could crack if the engine is started and stopped frequently as durability of the fuel filter element is not enough to endure changes in the fuel pressure.

If continued to be used, the crack may propagate, causing the element to break, ultimately resulting in fuel leakage.

Owners of Hino 300 Series trucks are being asked to return their vehicle to an authorised Hino Dealership for repair. Check to see if your Hino truck is affected here.
