Thousands of Honda cars added to air-bag recall.
Following on from the recall of a significant number of Honda vehicles in June, more Honda models have now been recalled over the same potential air-bag inflator fault.
Affecting millions of cars globally, the latest locally-sold Honda models to be affected include the Honda Accord, Honda CR-V, Honda Civic and Honda Jazz (check VIN list to see if your car is affected).
The ACCC says there is a potential concern with the propellant wafers contained within the passenger side front air-bag inflator. There is a risk of inflator containers scattering which may pose a fire risk and may injure occupants if those air-bags deploy.
Owners will be contacted directly by Honda and dealerships will replace the passenger-side SRS air-bag inflator free of charge.
