Honda has announced a special edition model with a difference – the Honda CR-V Series II DTi-L Limited Edition.

Available in only limited numbers, the model is the first to boast Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology 1.6 litre turbo diesel engine, a power plant that produces 118kW and 350Nm.

That output is up from the outgoing diesel engine’s 110kW/350Nm, while combined fuel consumption drops 1.0L/100km to 5.9L/100km.

Coupled with Honda’s new nine-speed automatic transmission, the Limited Edition diesel CR-V model also boasts leather interior, 18” alloy wheels, sat-nav and a reverse camera. While moving forward, all DTi-L models of the CR-V will come with a powered tailgate.

Honda Australia boss, Stephen Collins, says the new diesel engine coming to the CR-V delivers outstanding performance and low CO2 emissions.

“Not only does the CR-V Series II DTi-L receive this new powertrain, it features refreshed styling, upgraded specification and sharp pricing, making it an attractive proposition for our customers,”

The Honda CR-V Series II DTi-L Limited Edition is priced from $44,290.
