New Aston Martin DB11 V12 engine in production

The new 447kW/600Nm 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12 Aston Martin engine is now in full production in Germany.

Set to be bolted into the Aston Martin DB11, the combination will make for the most powerful production DB ever.

The new 2017 Aston Martin DB11 will arrive in Australian dealerships later in the year.

Being hand-built at the Aston Martin Engine Plant (AMEP) in Cologne, Brian Fitzsimons, Aston Martin Chief Engineer, Powertrain, says the new engine is a very special unit.

“To see this new engine go into full production at AMEP makes me very proud. Designing and developing the 5.2 litre twin-turbo power plant has been an all-consuming passion for me and my team.

“Knowing that the end result would be built with meticulous care in a truly state-of-the-art facility such as AMEP was an added motivation.

“It’s a hugely exciting time to be an engineer at Aston Martin, not least because this is just the beginning for the new twin-turbo V12.”

Australian pricing for the new Aston Martin DB11 will start from $428,032.
