120kW diesel engine available to Mercedes-Benz van buyers…
Buyers of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class van now get the option of a lower output version of the 2.1 litre turbo-diesel engine.
The announcement of the new engine option comes as Mercedes-Benz enjoys a more than 38% increase in local demand for the model this year.
Joining the existing entry-level Mercedes-Benz Valente and the flagship V 250 AVANTGARDE, the new lower output engine will feature in what will be known as the V220.
Boasting 120kW and 380Nm, the V 220 will be priced from $74,990.
Sabine Wagner is in charge of Product Management and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia, she tells us the V 220 was a variant regularly requested by buyers.
“V 220 provides a solution for customers who don’t need the same level of power and features provided by the V 250 AVANTGARDE, but still require exemplary functionality and typical strengths of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.”
