The countdown is on to next week’s Waste Management in Action (WMIA) exhibition as part of the Melbourne International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show (ITTES) and Scania is preparing to debut a new ready-built compactor, with a difference.

The new Scania rear-load compactor will be offered to Australian waste industry customers as a ready-built package designed primarily with urban applications in mind.

Scania to debut new rear load compactor at WMIA 2016Featuring a compactor that is no higher than the top of the Scania P-series cab, Scania’s National Sales Manager, Dean Dal Santo, tells us this makes the combo perfect for residential and crowded cityscapes.

“With the new ready-built Scania P 310 rear loader we are looking to capitalise on the success we have had with our front loader in the waste contractor market,”

“Scania has carved a reputation for robustness, economy of operation and driver comfort in the waste industry and we provide a superior driving experience for operators.

“Thanks to our decades of experience in this sector, Scania has perfected chassis integration for compactor bodies and hydraulic controls, with a powerful and reliable PTO allowing high reliability of operation, in line with Scania’s dedication to maximum uptime.”
