Strong demand continues for Subaru BRZ

Subaru sports coupe records 1000 sales as demand for the model continues to outpace supply.

Strong demand continues for Subaru BRZ
BRZ buyers are facing at least a three month wait for their new car.

Despite an unusual sales method and a few ongoing supply issues the Subaru BRZ has just sailed past 1000 sales in Australia.

Launched just over a year ago with less than 200 units originally available, Subaru Australia has managed to get their hands on more of the two-door sports cars this year and customers have been ferociously snapping them up.

Still sold completely online, buyers are facing at least a three month delay in getting their hands on their new BRZ as the production line continues to struggle to keep pace with demand.

The waiting list for BRZ deliveries in Australia is currently out to December!

More than 26 per cent of BRZs have been sold in Sydney region, followed by Brisbane with nearly 16 per cent and Melbourne almost 15 per cent.

Nick Senior, Managing Director of Subaru Australia says buyers just keep lining up for the affordable coupe.

“We could probably have sold double the number of BRZ’s if we’d had access to more production, but the level of interest in BRZ has continued pretty much at the same pace since day one.

“It’s a great credit to Fuji Heavy Industries for producing such a fine driver’s car, which has been recognized with so many awards both locally and overseas.”
