New Toyota Fortuner SUV available now.
The seven-seat SUV/4×4 market has another new player with Toyota dealerships now stocking the all-new Toyota Fortuner.
Joining the recently released Ford Ranger-based Everest in the sales mix, the new HiLux-based Toyota Fortuner is priced from $47,990 manual and $49,990 automatic. Available in three specification levels - GX, GXL and Crusade, prices round out from $59,990.
All variants of the Toyota Fortuner are powered by the same 130kW 2.8 litre turbo-diesel engine, the same engine found in the new HiLux and the Prado and the Fortuner offers up to a 3,000kg towing capacity (manual)/2,800kg (auto).
2015 Toyota Fortuner Standard Features:
- Seven-seats 2/3/2 configuration
- Rear diff lock
- Cruise control
- Side steps
- Air-conditioned cool box
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Six speaker stereo
- Three 12V accessory sockets
- Eco and power drive modes
Toyota Australia sales boss, Tony Cramb, says the Fortuner is a genuine player in the market.
“If Fortuner could speak, it would have a strong Aussie accent as the most Australian car Toyota has ever imported to this country,”
“Fortuner is the turbo-diesel alternative to the similar-size petrol-only Kluger and offers an affordable choice for those who aspire to own a LandCruiser,”
“Fortuner is a chameleon, transforming seamlessly from a prestigious urban transporter to the most rugged of off-road explorers, ideal for any adventure. It’s a Tardis too - spacious on the inside yet easy to manoeuvre through city traffic.”
