Toyota to introduce another SUV

New Toyota SUV will be smaller than RAV4.

Toyota to introduce another SUV - expect the production model to be toned down a little!

It’s a segment of the market that’s booming and now Australia’s top selling car brand is about to get in on the action with a new Toyota crossover/small SUV promised.

Based on the Toyota C-HR Concept vehicle that is being shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week, Toyota has just confirmed production plans for the new lightweight SUV.

Tony Cramb from Toyota Australia sales and marketing says the only issue now is to make sure the final production model actually makes it to Australian Toyota showrooms.

“The stunning looks, compact packaging and outstanding agility inherent in the C-HR Concept mean the production car is definitely on our wish-list for Australia,”

“Given the right specification, pricing and availability for our market, we would expect the C-HR production model to accelerate the already-hot demand for vehicles in the small SUV segment,”

“Toyota is obviously keen to compete in what is the fastest-growing category across the entire Australian market, with sales up more than 30 per cent so far this year.”
