Updated 2016 Volkswagen models arrive - with the updates comes price adjustments too, the Golf GTI for 2016 enjoys a $2,000 price cut!

Skip on down to your local Volkswagen dealership in coming weeks and check out a fresh range of Volkswagen vehicles.

Just arriving in dealerships now, the MY16 updates across the Volkswagen range include the standard fitment of a reverse camera on all grades of the Volkswagen Polo, Golf, Jetta, Beetle and Tiguan.

Along with the reverse camera comes an updated connectivity package and new 6.5” high resolution touch screen display.

While other changes being introduced into the Volkswagen range include an additional 2kW from the 1.4 litre engine in entry-level Golf 92 TSI, power has been upped by 7kW in the upper-spec 110TSI.

The updated model range though doesn’t have room for the base-model VW Golf Wagon; it’s been removed from the Australian VW line-up.

While price adjustments will also come into place, those adjustments include price reductions of up to $2,000 (Golf GTI) and increases of up to $700 (Golf and Golf Wagon).

Volkswagen Group Australia Managing Director, John White, says the new MY16 VW range represents better value for buyers.

“It’s great to be able to offer our customers the best of German engineering, and in the coming weeks and months, our customers will be able to get even more bang for their bucks.”
