V6-powered Infiniti Q60 lands in Australia

Infiniti Q60 range now complete with Q60 Red Sport arrival…

Australian Infiniti Q60 buyers now have the 298kW/475Nm twin-turbo V6 version available to them.

As promised when the Q60 was launched in 155kW four-cylinder form in November, the new V6 variant has joined the range and will be known as the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport.

Infiniti tells us the light-weight 3.0 litre engine has been designed to offer increased power and torque while maintaining high levels of efficiency – the Japanese car brand quoting 8.9L/100km combined.

While the V6-powered rear-wheel drive Infiniti sports coupe comes with a digital suspension system that is said to offer an engaging sports coupe experience, with a balance of compliant ride and agile handling.

And the model has Infiniti’s steer-by-wire- electronic steering.

Priced from $88,900, Infiniti boss, Roland Krueger, says the Q60 Red Sport is a special car for the brand.

“Infiniti has always been at the forefront of daring design and pioneering technology – and the Q60 again offers both.

“We believe the Q60‘s qualities and core strengths – the way it looks and drives – will appeal to buyers in the premium sports coupe segment.”
