Volkswagen confirms sporty new Tiguan and Golf variants for 2018

Volkswagen releases new Tiguan and Golf models

Volkswagen Australia has boosted the ranks of two of their best-selling models with special edition variants.

Arriving in December are the Tiguan 162TSI Sportline and Golf R Grid Edition providing buyers with more sportier options.

The Tiguan Sportline will start from $45,990 and slot under the Tiguan Highline complete with 20” Kapstadt alloy wheels, adaptive chassis control, sport comfort seats and driver assistance technologies.

While the Australian named Volkswagen Golf R Grid Edition will offer the lowest prices for an R range vehicle so far coming in at $47,490.

It will still house the 2.0 litre turbo engine (213kW/380Nm) and seven-speed DSG and also be kitted out with ‘Race’ sports cloth/Alcantara upholstery, black door mirrors and roof rails in the wagon model.

The latest announcement comes on the back of the recent release of the limited edition Golf R Wolfsburg and standard hatchback.
